GOLA GONG AND BADMINTON

Since young Gola Gong liked sport very much. Many achievements he got in badminton sport. In Banten, with one hand he competed with normal badminton players. He got runner up in junior grade badminton competition in 1982. beside that he was entering in main team of Serang Region (1982), B Team in junior high school (SMPN 2 Serang), high school team (SMAN 1 Serang) and as representative from his campuss (Padjadjaran University) in 1985. He followed West Java Junior Badminton Competition (Sukabumi, 1982) and won a representative from Kuningan. In “Sarana Muda Cup”, Bandung, 1985, he fought versus pupil of Indonesian badminton player legendary, Iie Soemirat. In 1985, Gola Gong joined in Sport of Handicap Builder Foundation. Every event Sport for Handicap he won in single, double and groups under West Jawa Team. The culminate point of his achievement is in 1989 he got medals for single, double and groups in Far East and South Pasific Games (FESPIC GAMES). Continuing in Kobe, Japan (1991) for groups and double. He got bronze medal for single player, but gold medal for double and groups. The picture was in FESPIC GAMES 1989 at Solo, Central Java.
